Educational Experience
My passion for therapies led me into the role of teacher in 1990 where I have worked using a variety of skills including; Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and Holistic Therapies at NVQ levels 1, 2 & 3. I have taught both exam based and assessment based qualifications, but developed further as an assessor and Internal verifier for both Education colleges and private schools.
My path took me into managerial roles at two centres I have worked at where I developed systems and procedures, internal and external audit trails and was responsible for recruitment and appraisals for the teams I built.
In recent years I have been appointed as an External Verifier for VTCT, the largest awarding body in this industry as well as the External Examiner on the Complimentary Therapy Degree at Brighton University. I am also currently undergoing continual training to become an International External Verifier.

As a qualified lecturer and business manager, with 17 years experience lecturing in Further Education and Private Sectors and 10 years as School Manager, the breadth of industry, business and teaching knowledge I now have is unique.
