Therapist
I trained as a Beauty Therapist & Hairdresser from 1981 - 1984 and on leaving college took a journey down a path that has always called me, therapy work has been a true and sacred vocation. An adage that has always held truth for me is; ‘If you do the work that you do from a loving heart, then you will always make something beautiful’. This industry has been something I love therefore my work life has unfolded in beauty.
I subsequently trained in the holistic area, firstly in Aromatherapy where I was blessed to be trained by one of the pioneers in this field Eve Taylor whose passion for this therapy is contagious. This led me onto Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Sports Massage which enabled me to work using a variety of tools from my therapy toolbag.
I have always seen the importance of continual professional development throughout my years in the industry where I have trained in Hot Stones, Thermal Aurricular Therapy, Crystal Therapy and have been honoured to work with Bhati Vyas including her auyervedic treatments to my repertoire.
I have recently trained in Thai Foot Massage, Thai Herbal Massage and Thai Massage at the excellent Traditional Thai School in England and went to Thailand for intensive advanced practitioner training.
Healing
My journey has taken me into the healing arena where my true passion was uncovered, the power of Reiki energy healing at level 1, level 2, master practitioner and master teacher level lead me into Shamanic healing in 2000.
I have been privileged to work with traditions from native American Indian, Haitian Vodou, Amazonian Indian and Celtic traditions. My teachers have included visionaries in this field, such as Ross Heaven, Leo Rutherford, Howard Charring, Dawn Russell, Leticia Palmer, Loes Rainmaker, Georgien Wybega, Wananechi and Peter Nest.
I am now running workshops in Shamanism, Reiki and Crystal therapy as well as offering healing sessions. It is understood that a Shaman is a walker between worlds, between two realities and my worklife fits this model as in balance I walk the roads of a therapist, healer, practitioner and teacher, verifier and educational consultant.
